1. Description 27-1/2" rotary table consists of main frame, main barrel, main bearing, lower bearing, crown gear, pinion shaft assembly, locking device, top cover, lower bearing support, seals and oil level dip stick. The main frame is fabricated out of steel casting and steel plates. The oil reservoir is built in to provide lubricant for the bevel gear set and the bearings. The main barrel is a steel casting. It has an opening of 27-1/2". It is supported by the main bearing and retained in the main fame by the lower bearing retainer. The crown gear is mounted on the main barrel. The main bearing bears the downward load exerted on the table and the lower radial ball bearing resists the upward thrust on the table. Shims are used to adjust the mounting distance of the crown gear and clearance of the lower bearing. The pinion shaft assembly consists of the pinion, shaft, a cylindrical roller bearing, and a spherical roller bearing. These are mounted in the cast steel housing complete with bearing spacer, seal, seal sleeve and seal housing. The pinion assembly is mounted inside the opening on the main frame. The proper mounting height of the crown gear is adjusted by using shims under the main bearing. The mounting distance is adjusted by using shims between the pinion assembly and the main frame. There are notches cast on the main barrel for locking the table. When the table lock is flipped to the locking position matching one of the notches, the table will be locked. Master bushings and inserts required are not supplied with the table. They must be ordered separately.
